PVTIME – Sunkind Energy has entered into a strategic partnership with Hangzhou ConfirmWare Technology with the aim of establishing a 4GW solar cell and module manufacturing complex in India. This collaboration will utilise ConfirmWare’s advanced stringer technology and automated systems to deploy highly precise production lines, representing a major milestone in India’s renewable energy expansion.

The joint venture’s flagship product will be 610 Wp TOPCon modules featuring M10 cells, which are designed for large-scale industrial and utility solar projects. Scheduled for phased development over 24 months, the 4 GW capacity will be distributed across multiple Indian regions to enable localised production, a rapid market response and optimised logistics. Each facility will prioritise supply chain efficiency and scalability, aligning with India’s push for domestic manufacturing in renewables.
This move highlights the increasing collaboration between Chinese technology companies and Indian energy firms, combining advanced solar technology with local market demand. The partnership follows India’s ongoing efforts to increase its renewable energy capacity, which are supported by policy incentives and infrastructure development.
