PVTIME – On January 28, a ceremony was held for the completion of Trina Solar’s phase III high -efficiency solar cell project in Suqian Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu Province of China.
This particular project was initiated in April 2022, launched in June and pre-production trial in December. The total investment of the project is 5 billion yuan to reach an annual output of 10GW TOPCon solar cell, as well as achieving an estimated annual output value of more than 10 billion yuan.
Trina Solar has invested 22 billion yuan in Suqian City for manufacturing of core products in photovoltaic industry involving silicon wafer, cell and module production by the end of 2022, to reach production capacity of 20GW silicon wafers, 20GW solar cells and 12GW modules per year.
