PVTIME – Citicore Renewable Energy Corporation (CREC), a leading renewable energy developer in the Philippines, and Trina Solar, a global leader in photovoltaic technology, recently signed a supply agreement for 2GW of solar modules.
The agreement is the largest ever signed between the two companies and marks an important step towards CREC’s ambitious goal of achieving 5GW of renewable energy capacity over the next five years.
Trina Solar will supply advanced Vertex N 720W Series (NEG21C.20) solar modules for CREC’s upcoming 2GW solar power project, which is in line with the Philippine government’s priority renewable energy programmes, including the Green Energy Auction projects, which are critical to the country’s transition to renewable energy.
Oliver Tan, President and CEO of CREC, said, ‘With our first gigawatt project nearing completion, this new agreement with Trina Solar paves the way for our next 2GW of solar projects. This partnership reinforces our commitment to making the Philippines a first-world location for clean, renewable energy.
