PVTIME – On March 5, JA Solar and the People’s Government of Qujing City, Yunnan province, signed for an Investment Framework Agreement for Phase III of a New High-Efficiency Photovoltaic Cell and New Energy Base Project.
According to the agreement, JA Solar plans to launch a high-efficiency solar cell project with a total scale of no less than 10GW and a 5GW module manufacturing base in the year of 2022, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan.
Qujing City is perfect for investment and solar industrial development and welcomes PV companies to settle down there with local win-win cooperation policies. JA Solar will actively fulfill the agreement, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and promote the early implementation of the third phase of the project. The two parties will jointly promote a high-quality development of Qujing’s silicon photovoltaic industry to achieve mutual benefit and to build Qujing City as a “Photovoltaic Capital of the World”.
