10.08GW! Drinda Achieves Large Solar Cell Shipments in Q1 2024

PVTIME – On 7 May 2024, Hainan Drinda New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Drinda, 002865.SZ), a China-based company mainly engaged in the research, development, production and sale of photovoltaic cells, announced its results for the first quarter 2024. It achieved operating income of RMB3.714 billion, with net profit attributable to the parent company of RMB19.754 million.

In the first quarter of 2024, Drinda delivered 10.08GW of solar cells, of which 1.52GW were p-type products and 8.56GW were n-type products, representing an increase of 109.56% year on year.

Importantly, the company achieved overseas sales of 431 million yuan, accounting for 11.62% of its total sales volume, with a steady growth from 4.69% in Q1 2023.

Drinda believes that as the cost of photovoltaic power generation continues to fall, the demand for the overseas photovoltaic market will grow rapidly. In 2024, Drinda plans to focus on increasing its overseas production capacity and investing in high-efficiency cell manufacturing bases globally, especially in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and the United States, to serve global customers.
