LONGi’s Solar Production Base Kicks Off in Inner Mongolia

PVTIME – On April 8, LONGi’s solar production base was officially started to construct in inner Mongolia, China.

The base is located in the Mengsu Economic Development Zone, Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, with a total investment of 19.5 billion yuan, which was signed by LONGi, the People’s Government of Erdos City and the People’s Government of Ejin Horo Banner.

According to the agreement, the solar production base would include monocrystalline silicon rods and slices project with an annual output of 20GW, a project with an annual output of 30GW of high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cells, and a high-efficiency PV modules project with an annual output of 5GW. The construction period of the projects will be no longer than 6 months, and are expected to be put into operation within 24 months.
