LONGi: HPBC 2.0 Cell Capacity to Top 60% by End-2025

PVTIME – During its 2025 H1 earnings call, LONGi Green Energy (SH: 601012), a global leader in PV technology, revealed that its high-efficiency HPBC 2.0 modules have gradually entered the market this year. Thanks to their high conversion efficiency, sleek design and strong safety performance, the products have quickly gained market acceptance, driving rapid growth in orders and shipments.

In the first half of 2025, the company shipped approximately 4GW of HPBC 2.0 modules to over 70 countries and regions across China, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America and the Middle East and North Africa, reflecting a significant rise in global market recognition. In terms of capacity, LONGi anticipates that HPBC 2.0 cell production will account for over 60% of its total cell capacity by the end of 2025, with both internal and external capacity expansion progressing smoothly.

Additionally, LONGi highlighted continued breakthroughs in BC cell module R&D and mass production during the first half of the year. Its BC cell R&D efficiency reached 27.81%, and its BC module R&D efficiency surpassed 26%, setting new world records in both cases. Currently, the mass production yield rate of the company’s HPBC 2.0 cells exceeds 97%.
