PVTIME – A groundbreaking ceremony for the solar-powered car sunroof project of Yichun Desun New Energy Co., Ltd. has been held at Yifeng County Industrial Park in China, officially launching the construction phase of the initiative.

Backed by a total investment of 300 million yuan, the project will cover an area of approximately 40,000 square metres and will incorporate production workshops, warehouses, office buildings, and supporting facilities.
The development will be delivered in two phases. The first phase is scheduled for completion by June 2026, with the second phase set to begin within three years of the first phase entering operation. Once complete, the project will have an annual production capacity of 1.5 million solar-powered car sunroofs, as well as monocrystalline silicon and high-transparency perovskite solar curtain walls. The project is expected to generate an annual output value of over 500 million yuan and contribute more than 10 million yuan in annual tax revenue.
As well as filling the gap in solar-powered automotive parts production in western Jiangxi, the project will draw on the Jiangxi Yifeng Chamber of Commerce’s resources in Shenzhen. This collaboration will enable the company to adopt a “research and development in Shenzhen, manufacturing in Yifeng” model, allowing it to bring its products to markets throughout China and across the globe.
