PVTIME – In Brescia, a key industrial city in northern Italy, Electraline 3p Mark Spa’s facility runs automated production lines 24/7. The multinational electrical equipment manufacturer has over 30 years of experience and faces an annual electricity demand of around 245,000 kWh. This has prompted it to turn to Aiko’s high-efficiency ABC modules in order to build a 143.6 kW solar plant on its factory rooftops and reduce operational costs.

This is not Electraline’s first solar installation, rather than replacing ageing equipment, the firm has chosen to expand by adding a second plant on other buildings’ rooftops, boosting total generating capacity. Electraline’s Operations Manager, Emanuele Ventura, noted that the site’s 10-year-old solar plant had previously suffered from declining efficiency due to complex rooftop structures, shading from nearby buildings and trees, and other issues, all of which limited its ability to provide consistent power.
Aiko’s ABC modules address these complexities through high conversion efficiency, which maximises rooftop energy generation, and a unique shaded-power optimisation feature, which ensures stable output even with partial shading. Compared to TOPCon technology, the modules delivered clear advantages: 19.71% higher installed capacity on the same rooftop area; an additional 601,000 kWh of electricity over 30 years; and a payback period of around 4 years, which is 5% shorter. The new plant is set to save Electraline approximately 225,000 euros in electricity costs within its first decade.
Ventura emphasised Electraline’s commitment to quality in its selection of solar solutions, noting that the firm prioritises performance and reliability as a manufacturer of high-quality electrical products. He highlighted that Aiko’s ABC modules had exceeded expectations by delivering 5% higher installed capacity than planned, alongside strong efficiency and shaded-environment performance. This aligns with Electraline’s commitment to technical innovation and quality, and with Aiko’s pursuit of optimal conversion efficiency and reliability. It has enabled Electraline to transform its rooftops into stable green energy assets.
Looking ahead, Aiko will continue to partner with clients around the world to provide cost-effective, eco-friendly solar solutions, supporting more businesses in their energy transition and advancing progress towards a zero-carbon future.
