PVTIME – On 3 February, following its 6GWh energy storage deal with Egypt signed in January, Cornex New Energy secured another major overseas order. It inked a strategic energy storage cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Al Rajhi Electrical and Greengrid in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, agreeing to supply a total of 5.5GWh of energy storage products to Al Rajhi Electrical for localized production and project construction in the Middle Eastern market.

The collaboration aims to actively respond to Saudi Arabia’s energy transition strategy under Vision 2030 and jointly develop the Middle Eastern energy storage market. As Al Rajhi Electrical’s first Chinese strategic partner in energy storage, Cornex will leverage its R&D strength and large-scale manufacturing advantages in lithium batteries to provide advanced products and comprehensive technical support for Al Rajhi Electrical’s local factory construction in Saudi Arabia, with 5.5GWh of products to be supplied over the next three years.
On 16 January, Cornex also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Egypt’s WeaCan and Kemet. WeaCan and Kemet will lead project implementation, using their local industry resources and project experience to handle scenario connection, government approval coordination, grid access support and localized operations, while Cornex will supply 6GWh of high-quality energy storage products in phases with full-cycle technical support.
Cornex has established four core regional service centers globally covering China, Europe, North America and Australia, providing full lifecycle services from product delivery to technical consultation, installation and maintenance. It has achieved mass delivery and benchmark project implementation in over 60 countries and regions.
In 2025, Cornex’s shipments exceeded 90GWh, ranking among the top globally in energy storage battery shipments. With successive overseas deals in North Africa and the Middle East, its global layout is deepened, as it seeks to expand market share and brand influence while contributing to global energy transition.
