30.43% Efficiency Breakthrough: Fangsheng’s All-Dry Perovskite-Silicon Tandem PV Cells

PVTIME – Suzhou Fangsheng Optoelectronics has achieved a significant breakthrough in photovoltaic technology by fabricating perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells using its unique all-dry process.

These cells have an energy conversion efficiency of 30.43%, a Voc of 1.891 V, a Jsc of 20.19 mA/cm² and an FF of 79.68%. This sets a new domestic record for dry-process tandem solar cells. The firm has also achieved a complete breakthrough in single-junction, all-evaporated perovskite cells, successfully validating efficiency from small, laboratory-scale samples to large, mass-production grade substrates. The breakthrough in achieving 30.43% efficiency for all-dry perovskite-silicon tandem cells, combined with the full-size, high-efficiency validation of all-evaporated single-junction cells ranging from 0.1 cm² laboratory samples to 200×200 mm² mass-production grade substrates, provides solid evidence of the industrial feasibility of the dry process route. These achievements demonstrate the outstanding scalability, robustness and production line compatibility of the all-dry process, while also delivering high performance as a core attribute essential for perovskite technology to transition from laboratory development to GW-scale production lines.
