PVTIME – JinkoSolar, a global leader in photovoltaic technology, has signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with Blue Sun Group, Australia’s leading PV distributor, for the supply of 2GW of Tiger Neo 3.0 high-efficiency modules. The signing, which took place at JinkoSolar’s new Sydney headquarters, builds on three years of successful collaboration, during which time over 1GW of modules have been delivered to Australia. It will further strengthen the strategic alignment between the two companies and drive growth in the nation’s distributed PV market.

Designed specifically for Australia’s high solar irradiance and extreme temperature variations, the Tiger Neo 3.0 modules prioritise high efficiency and superior energy gain per watt to provide end users with tangible economic benefits. With a conversion efficiency of 24.8%, the series offers custom 48-cell and 51-cell configurations optimised for the limited roof space of Australian residential and commercial properties.
These compact, lightweight modules deliver enhanced power output, boosting installed capacity and energy generation per square metre. They also offer industry-leading reliability, with a maximum first-year degradation rate of 1% and a 30-year linear power warranty. This aligns with the long-term investment requirements of Australia’s distributed PV market, cutting operational and maintenance costs while securing consistent lifecycle returns.
The partnership coincides with a critical phase in Australia’s energy transition. The federal government’s Powering Australia plan sets targets of 82% renewable energy penetration by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2050. The upcoming Solar Sharer scheme, which is set to launch in July 2026 across New South Wales, South Australia, and southeast Queensland, will provide smart meter users with three hours of free electricity per day, potentially reducing household bills by up to 800 Australian dollars annually.
State-level solar and storage incentives further unlock market potential. JinkoSolar’s well-established distribution network in Australia, combined with the technical advantages of the Tiger 3 modules, is closely aligned with these policy benefits, maximising economic and environmental returns for end users.
The 2GW order further strengthens JinkoSolar’s leading position in Australia. Independent research firm SunWiz named JinkoSolar Australia’s top PV manufacturer for 2025, with a market share of 26%. Wang Tongzhou, JinkoSolar Australia’s Managing Director, stated that this strategic cooperation strengthens the company’s distributed PV leadership. The company is focusing on technological innovation and distribution channel empowerment to support Australia’s clean energy transition.
