PVTIME – Trina Solar has announced that its energy storage shipments exceeded 8GWh in 2025, with overseas deliveries accounting for over 60%.

Trina Solar is targeting 15–16 GWh of energy storage shipments in 2026, and it currently holds overseas orders totalling more than 12GWh. It expects the proportion of exports to rise further next year.
Given its robust order book, Trina Solar will exercise discretion in selecting future orders and may source external cells to fulfil low-value contracts. Regarding the impact of rising cell prices on its energy storage business, the firm noted that such increases are beneficial, given that its in-house cell production capacity allows for cost pass-through.
Trina Solar’s cell capacity is set to rise from 16GWh to 20GWh by the end of 2025. For 2026, the company plans to increase its cell capacity to 20–25GWh, alongside 40GWh of energy storage system capacity.
