10GW! Solar Organic Plans TOPCon Plant in Spain’s Castilla-La Mancha

PVTIME – Solar Organic plans to build a 10GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Socuéllamos, in the autonomous region of Castilla-La Mancha in Spain.

Last week, the company held a working meeting with Castilla-La Mancha regional government representatives to discuss the site’s planning. Solar Organic has confirmed that it will use an as yet unspecified technology from Taiwan, China, to produce monocrystalline PERC and n-type TOPCon cell modules. The firm has not shared specific timelines for construction or completion of the project.

The Castilla-La Mancha regional government has prioritised the project, stating that it has “taken a step forward” to simplify the approval process for the developer. This facility marks the beginning of Solar Organic’s planned series of projects in the region, with two more projects to follow.
