PVTIME – On 2 September local time, PowerChina formally signed a contract with the Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation (ZESCO) for the Chisamba Phase II 100MW Solar Power Plant project.
Located in the heart of Zambia’s Central Province, the project includes the construction of a 100 MW solar field, the expansion of a step-up substation, the installation of additional transmission lines, and the integration of relevant equipment.
This new partnership builds on the organisations’ successful collaboration in the new energy sector, having previously worked together to deliver the Kabwe 100MW Emergency Solar Power Project and provide ongoing operation and maintenance services for the facility.
