LONGi to Launch 20GW PV Module Project in Wuhu City

PVTIME – On May 16, the Management Committee of Wuhu Economic Development Zone signed a strategic cooperation agreement for a 20GW photovoltaic module project with LONGi Leye Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of LONGi.

The whole project will be carried out in two phases, and each phase with an annual output of 10GW of solar modules. The first phase of the project is expected to be put into production in the Q2 of 2023. The second phase is planned to be launched in Q1 of 2023 and to be put into production in Q2 of 2024. The annual sales revenue will be approximately 36 billion yuan, the annual tax payment will reach 1 billion yuan and 4,000 jobs can be offered when the whole project is in full production, estimated according to current market data.

The two sides would like to conduct in-depth exchanges on strengthening cooperation in the new energy industry chain, encouraging scientific and technological innovation and researches, to achieve the “dual carbon” goals.
