Jinghua New Energy’s Inks Investment Agreement with Jiangdu High-tech Zone for an 8.5GW Photovoltaic Module Production Project

PVTIME – On the morning of July 19, the investment agreement signing ceremony for Jinghua New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.’s (hereinafter referred to as “Jinghua”) 8.5GW solar photovoltaic module project was held at the Conference Center of the People’s Government of Jiangdu District in Yangzhou City.

Li Hang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Yangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, Chen Kaihong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Yangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor, Zhu Lili, Secretary of the Jiangdu District Committee, Jin Jian, Chairman of Jinghua New Energy Co., Ltd., and Zhang Yilong, Chairman of Weili Technology Group Co., Ltd. attended the signing ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Zhu Lili, Secretary of Jiangdu District Committee.

Jin Jian, Chairman of Jinghua, introduced the company and the project. “In July of 2019, we signed the first phase investment agreement with Jiangdu High-tech Zone. Today, we usher in the second phase 8.5GW with this signing ceremony,” Jian said. “Yangzhou Jinghua New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-efficiency solar photovoltaic module manufacturing enterprise integrating R&D, production, sales and service. Our company has a construction scale of 10GW and a total investment of 3.5 billion yuan. The 1.5GW phase I of the project was completed and put into operation on April 15, 2020, and another 500MW technological transformation project will be completed and put into operation within this year,” Jian added.

Jian went on to say, “Through R&D and investment in science and technology, we are doing a good job in upgrading conventional products, and constantly developing products that meet market demand and policy support. By continuously improving our innovation capabilities and enhancing our core competitiveness, we will be establishing the Jinghua Research Institute with leading figures such as scientific research institutions, photovoltaic building research teams, and architectural design institutes, so as to differentiate ourselves from the competition.”
