PVTIME – The groundbreaking ceremony for Phase III of JinkoSolar’s 5GW rod pulling and 10GW wafer slicing project in Sichuan Province was held on December 21. City Party Secretary, Peng Lin; Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Zhang Tong; Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress, Yi Fan; Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee attended the ceremony.
Phase I and II of the project have already been completed and are currently producing at full capacity. Through technological transformation and upgrading, the current production exceeds 12GW annually and is supported by about 2000 employees. The investment total for Phase III is estimated to be upwards of 3 billion yuan. Upon completion, JinkoSolar’s rod pulling capacity in Sichuan will increase to 18GW, and the company’s annual output value will exceed 12 billion yuan.
