Akcome to Construct 6GW HJT Project in Taixin High Tech Zone

PVTIME – On October 31, Jiangsu Akcome Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Akcome Technology” or “the company”) announced the signing of a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Management Committee of Jiangsu Taixing High Tech Zone for the intent of jointly building a 6GW high-efficiency HJT solar cell and module manufacturing project.

The signing of the agreement is based on the high degree of compatibility between both parties and will comprehensively deepen their strategic cooperation in the fields of photovoltaic power stations, high-efficiency heterojunction cell and module production, and further promote the development of the industry.

The project is expected to be constructed in three phases with 2GW brought online each phase. The Management Committee of Jiangsu Taixing High Tech Zone will be responsible for the financing and construction of phase I, with Akcome being entrusted with the operation of the plant. After the completion of phase I, Akcome Technology will then acquire the asset from the Management Committee of Jiangsu Taixing High Tech Zone. Further cooperation for the second and third phases of the project will depend on the situation of the first phase and shall be discussed separately.

In terms of cooperation in photovoltaic power station projects, Akcome Industry and Akcome Technology, as leading new energy companies, have multiple photovoltaic power stations in operation. Furthermore, Taixing High Tech Zone has a strong geographical advantage and is committed to building a benchmark demonstration base for the new energy industry. The two parties will cooperate in the field of photovoltaic power plants based on their respective resources, including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions, cooperative development, and construction. The parties have also agreed that Akcome Industry or its designated company will be given priority to rooftop photovoltaic projects in Taixing High Tech Zone.
