PVTIME – On August 10, Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Trina Solar”) issued the “Announcement on Issuance of Convertible Corporate Bonds to Non-specific Objects” on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
According to the announcement, Trina Solar plans to issue convertible bonds in order to raise no more than 5.252 billion yuan for the development of multiple solar cell and module manufacturing projects including:
16GW Yancheng high-efficiency solar cell project
5GW Suqian Phase II high-efficiency solar cell project
8GW Suqian Phase III high-efficiency solar cell project
10GW Yancheng Dafeng 10GW module production project
Trina Solar said in the announcement that the implementation of the investment projects funded by the issuance of convertible bonds is conducive to expanding the company’s market share, further improving the company’s competitive advantage, supporting the company’s sustainable development, and realizing and safeguarding the long-term interests of shareholders.
The company will accelerate the construction of the aforementioned raised investment projects, strive for the completion of raised investment projects as soon as possible so as to improve the company’s operating performance and profitability, and help fill the dilution of shareholders’ immediate return caused by this issuance.
