Trina Solar Announces Teaming Agreement with QBotix

Trina Solar Limited (TSL), (“Trina Solar” or “the Company”), a global leader in photovoltaic modules, solutions and services, announced today its subsidiary Trina Solar US Development Company LLC has entered into a teaming agreement with Silicon Valley-based QBotix Inc., recognized as the first company to utilize mobile, intelligent and rugged robotics for the operation of solar power plants.

Under terms of the agreement, Trina Solar and QBotix will collaborate this year on test and commercial projects within and outside the United States, and develop a scalable ‘building block’ design solution for commercial project developers. QBotix’s first product, QTS, a robotically driven dual-axis tracking system, is currently being advance field-tested in commercial deployments in California, Arizona and Japan.
