PVTIME – Recently, Risen Energy Co., Ltd, a leading Tier 1 manufacturer of high-performance solar photovoltaic products, disclosed that its metallic silicon project and high-purity project will be started in Guyang County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China, in the duration of June 2022 to June 2024.
These projects were initiated by a wholly-owned subsidiary of Risen founded in Baotou City in January 2022, with an estimated investment of CNY 15 billion, among which 4.50 billion yuan was self-owned funds and 1.05 billion yuan was bank loans.
The first phase of the whole project will focus on the high-purity polysilicon with an annual output of 50,000 MT and the silicon metal with an annual output of 100,000 MT. And then another 100,000 MT of high purity polysilicon and 100,000 MT of silicon metal project will follow up.
These projects are important steps for the company to build up a PV base covers the source-network-load-storage with overall solutions to reduce it manufacturing costs as well as fulfilling the low carbon emission goal of local government. The company expects to expand its production capacity via new projects and positively influence the company’s performance and long-term interests.
