26.50%! LONGi Achieves New World Record for HJT Cell Efficiency

PVTIME – On June 23, LONGi, the world leading solar technology company, announced a new world record of 26.50% for the efficiency of its HJT cells. It is the highest efficiency achieved on M6 (274.4cm2) full-size monocrystalline silicon wafers. The new record, as with the previous benchmark, was validated in testing carried out by the German Institut für Solarenergieforschung (ISFH).

As the world’s leading solar technology company, LONGi has continuously optimize its photovoltaic products via technological innovation. In October 2021, LONGi has set world record for HJT solar cell efficiency twice in one week, from 25.26% through 25.82% to 26.30%. And the latest 26.50%, LONGi has achieved the rare feat of setting HJT cell efficiency world records in very short time. What is more, LONGi has now achieved overall leadership in a number of new high-efficiency cell technologies, such as n-type and p-type TOPCon and n-type and p-type HJT, continually pushing the limits for commercial use of solar energy applications to new levels.
